If the other companies remove their copyrights from the file then I 
would clean it up as the incorrect copyrights have been removed.
Otherwise, I'm just leaving the Makefile alone for now.

The practical reason was to minimize the number of changes to the 
comments.  Simply stripping the BSD license info and leaving the rest of 
the comment lines in place.  I'll reformat the rest of the comment to 
remove this concern.
