Hi,

First of all you need to provide more information about things like:
1. What is the subject of your project?
2. What hardware is available to you?
3. What is your setup and what are you trying to test, achieve etc.

The main DPDK page contains most of the information that you'll need to get started.
The slideshare website will provide you with some presentations about DPDK and how to setup VMs to run examples. 
You can also check the mailing lists archives, which are accessible through dpdk.org.

Does ovs-dpdk support QoS on dpdkvhostuser port and other port, just like 'HTB' for kernel based ovs port?

Or will ovs-dpdk support this?

Hello all,
I've detected that when working with DPDK (running on VM) connected via SR-IOV - ixgbevf (82599) - the received traffic is vlan tagged.

Has anyone encountered this issue ?

For incoming pkts - how can I strip the vlan in the ixgbe/vf driver? , the 82599 datasheet at par.7.4.3.2 says to set the RXDCTL.VME  vlan bit to strip - but doesn't help.

Hi Team,??????????? I have taken up a project on DPDK very recently, with a prerequisite knowledge of basic computer networking.I have installed the DPDK libraries in my laptop following the instructions in the DPDK getting started guide. But I am facing a difficulty in picking up the basic things and debugging errors that pop up during running the sample applications. I would like to know where exactly I should start so that I can have a clear concept of what I am doing and move further.??????????? I would be grateful if someone suggests me the right way to start and carry out the project since I am an absolute beginner in this field.Thanking You.Sourav Roy.
